Mr. Nick's
Piano Instruction
About Mr. Nick
Hello! I am Mr. Nick and welcome to my business page. I have been playing piano since I was 4 and I have been teaching for 7 years now. I strongly believe that there is no end to learning and I am constantly trying to better myself as a teacher and pianist. Some of my favorite pieces to play are by Chopin, Liszt, Alice in Chains, and Metallica! I am so lucky to have my passion as my career!
My studio space is located at 211 E. Commerce St. in the historic section of downtown Milford. I am in suite 100 and have outdoor parking directly next to my door. My studio space offers a practice room where parents can see and hear the lesson as it happens. A comfortable and cozy lobby offers parents and siblings a great place to watch lessons, do homework, or just sit back and relax. In walking distance to downtown Milford, parents and teens can easily take a walk while waiting for their lesson. I also offer a practice piano with headphones so students can practice if they come in early. Kids and adults can borrow books and magazines from Mr. Nick's mini library and a small desk gives clients the opportunity to get work/homework done. My studio space is a safe place for learning, making mistakes, creating art, finding a passion for music, and most of all, having fun!
I strive to teach students proper technique while making piano fun. A strong knowledge of technique helps students master pieces they are interested in. I teach all ages and all skill levels. For beginners, I recommend 30-minute lessons once a week. As a student's technique progresses, 45-minute and 60-minute lessons are available. I understand buying a piano can be a big commitment and quite nerve racking. I highly suggest that before beginning lessons, you and your family have an 88 key piano or keyboard that is properly tuned. Not having access to the proper piano can make practice frustrating or unenjoyable. A student is more likely to enjoy and continue with piano if they have access to appropriate practice materials. For younger children, I feel strong encouragement and interaction with parents is also necessary to reach maximum potential.
I believe that piano is for everyone! No matter what your age, skill level, or experience, you can learn to play piano! I am passionate and dedicated to my craft and love that I am able to share my love for music.

My Philosophy
I believe that anyone can learn piano. With practice, dedication, and courage, anyone can have the gift of music. I aim to make playing piano as fun as possible, teaching my students that although it may not come easy, playing the piano is a lifelong skill that will help in all areas of life. My hopes are that, as a teacher, I can pass on my passion and love for piano.
